A man that faced accusations from multiple arrests accepted a packaged plea deal on Friday in Cortland County Court.
Matthew S. Clark, of Truxton, racked up charges from a handful of separate arrests that occurred last year (2023). Reported incidents involving Clark include attempting to cash a stolen check, breaking and entering a residence to steal items, an arrest that included charges of arson and attempted murder and more.
On Friday, Clark pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Clark also has a fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon conviction out of the town of Willet.
Clark is scheduled for prison sentencing at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 13. He was sent back to Cortland County Jail without bail.
