At around 12:55 p.m. Monday, emergency crews responded to a report of an accident involving a motorcyclist and a dump truck at the intersection of Sweeney Road and Route 90 in Homer.

Luke Reisman, 21, of Cortland, was driving an agricultural dump truck owned by New Hope View Farms on Route 90 when he attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Sweeney Road, according to Cortland County Undersheriff Herb Barnhart.

Dennis Rider, 62, of Batavia, attempted to pass Reisman in a no-passing lane as the truck was making the turn.

Rider was flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, Barnhart said.
