Varsity Softball: Marathon vs. Union Springs

The Marathon Lady Olympians fell to a 2-1 record after losing to Union Springs with a score of 1-9.

“We never really got going tonight,” said Marathon head coach Jamie Bush. “Our bats were off and we had a couple big errors in the 5th inning that we could not overcome. The only spark all night came from Lacie Peck, as she came in to bat for (Kassidy) VanOrder in the 5th inning and hit a hard spot down the right field line. Stole second and third, and made it home on a wild pitch. She followed that up with another hit in the seventh. The only other hits were (Brooke) Tillotson in the 6th and (Sezja) Brooks in the seventh. We are a better team, when we play for each other and we talked about that after the game.”
