Denny Wright Memorial Duals Results; Homer’s Hunter Lines gets 100th-career win (photos included)

The Homer Trojans hosted the Denny Wright Memorial Duals this past weekend, where they matched up against Sherburne-Earlville, Sidney, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown/Pulaski (APWP), and Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville (BGAH). 

The Denny Wright Memorial Duals is an event that is “a cancer research and education fundraiser in memory and honor of Denny Wright, a beloved member of the Homer wrestling and school community.”

At the event, Homer junior Hunter Lines also recorded his 100th-career win, after going 4-0 in the tournament.

According to Homer head coach Jason Reynolds, each teams’ most outstanding wrestlers of the tournament were:

• Homer: Hunter Lines (131 lbs)
• Sherburne-Earlville: Aiden Kiehn (190 lbs)
• APWP: Ethan Purdy (152 lbs)
• BGAH: Darren Florance (116 lbs)
• Sidney: Owen Mott (108 lbs)
