The Marathon varsity softball team will play in the first round of sectionals this Thursday (May 16th).
Marathon ended their official regular season with an 8-12 record, earning them the No.8-seed of the Section IV Class C tournament bracket. (Note: Marathon had an 8-11 when brackets were released).
According to Section IV, the Lady Olympians are scheduled to host No.9-seed Moravia at Marathon’s Appleby Elementary School in the opening round of the tournament at 4:30pm. on Thursday (May 16th).
Moravia ended their regular season with an 8-7 record.
The Lady Olympians currently hold a 1-2 record against Moravia this season, after winning one game (April 9th) and losing two games (April 9th & April 23rd).
